I wanted a place to write down my daily doings and share them with interested parties. I'm not a superwoman, or in charge of anything important. But I felt I needed a place where I could keep everything together. Life is pretty simple. But change is coming. Well, I guess it starts with the fact that when I was young (say...grade school years) I became obsessed with elephants. They were my favorite animal. I started collecting them and even received them as gifts on my birthday and Christmas. I can't recall when the crazy infatuation started to fade, but now I have boxes of stuffed, glass, metal, and plastic elephants. Okay, so, where does the tea fit in? </span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;">I do love tea, and drink it often. BUT, this has to do with a gift. My best friend, we'll call her </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#663366;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;">K</span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;">, lives in North Carolina. About 6 hours away from me. She visited after Christmas time, so we did our exchanging then. I opened my box and there it was. Faded teal/green with brown markings. An Elephant Teapot. </span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="color:#663366;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;">My friend is good</span></span><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;">. </span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;"><br /></span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size:small;">Anyway, I was searching for a name and started getting anxious after a few days without a perfect fit. Then I happened to glance over to where the teapot sat, on a shelf by an old camera and photograph and a pair of vintage binoculars.
